Both coaches have extensive experience playing and coaching at the highest levels of hockey. Sandelin was a defenseman for 11 seasons in the NHL, playing for the New York Islanders New Jersey Devils Dallas Stars and Pittsburgh Penguins He also spent four seasons playing in Europe before retiring in 2001.
