The Razorbacks baseball team is one of the most successful teams in college sports with a record of 831-832. The team has been playing at War Memorial Stadium since 1948 and has won five National Championships The stadium was built in 1928 and is the third oldest college baseball stadium still in use.

Arkansas Razorbacks Baseball
The Arkansas Razorbacks Baseball Team represents the University of Arkansas in NCAA Division I college baseball The team participates in the West Division of the Eastern Conference (SEC). They are currently coached by Dave Van Horn and play their home games at Baum Stadium, located on campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The program has appeared in eleven College World Series including five trips under current Head Coach Dave Van Horn It has also produced thirty-nine Major League Baseball (MLB) draft selections and thirteen MLB players most notably Andrew Benintendi, Dallas Keuchel, Cliff Lee, and Lance Lynn.
In 1897, an unnamed Razorback baseball team played its first game against a local boys’ High School The first recorded reference to “Arkansas Baseball” came in 1906 when Coach W. A. Cunningham scheduled a game against Texas; however that contest was cancelled due to bad weather. In 1908 Cunningham scheduled another game against Texas; this time it was played despite rain showers which caused both teams to use improvised uniforms consisting of whatever clothing they had available. The contest ended in a tie with each squad having scored two runs apiece.
In 1910 Cunningham’s squad completed a perfect 80 season with wins over Kansas State University and Baylor University  From 1911 to 1914 Arkansas enjoyed its most successful stretch under head coach Fred Harper when his squads posted winning records every year except 1912 when they went 531. Following World War I Coach Thomas Ewing Dickson led the Razorbacks for two seasons before being replaced by Hugo Bezdek who would become well known for also coaching football at Oregon and Pennsylvania. Bezdek began his tenure by posting consecutive 91 seasons highlighted by victories over Kansas State  Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska,.
The Arkansas Razorbacks have released their schedule for the upcoming season The Hogs will open the season at home against the Missouri Tigers on February 14th. They’ll play a three-game series against Auburn at home from March 7-9, and then hit the road for a four-game set against Ole Miss from March 14-17.
After that, it’s back home for a three-game series against Florida from March 21-23. Then, Arkansas will host Xavier for a midweek game on March 26th before heading to Tennessee for a three-game weekend series from April 4-6.
The Hogs will close out the month of April with four straight home games – two against Mississippi State (April 18-19) and two more against South Carolina (April 25-26).
May will start off with another SEC road trip this time to Alabama for a three game set from May 2-4. Arkansas will then host Louisiana Tech for a midweek game on May 7th before wrapping up the regular season at home against LSU from May 16-18.
Pittman Family Stadium
The Pittman Family Stadium is the home of the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team The stadium is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas and has a capacity of 10,737 fans. The stadium opened in 1996 and was named after former Razorback Head Coach Norm DeBriyn.
The stadium features a state-of-the-art press box, luxury suites, an expanded concourse, and increased seating. The project also included the addition of more than 1,000 seats in the Upper Deck down the first Base Line and behind home plate
In 2013, the university announced a $40 million gift from John A. Cooper that will go towards further renovations of the stadium. The gift is the largest ever given to Razorback Athletics and is earmarked for facility enhancements including new scoreboards, lighting and sound systems, as well as chair-back seating throughout the ballpark.

The Arkansas Traveler
The Arkansas Traveler is the official newspaper of the University of Arkansas. It is published daily during the fall and spring semesters, and weekly during the summer. The paper covers news, sports, opinion, and features about the university and its students.
The paper was founded in 1892 as The Razorback, making it one of the oldest student newspapers in the country. In 1926, it changed its name to The Arkansas Traveler in reference to a traditional folk song about an unlucky traveler who gets lost in Arkansas.

Calling the Hogs
Arkansas Razorbacks fans have a unique tradition of calling out “Wooo, Pig! Sooie!” during sporting events. The phrase is derived from the University of Arkansas’ mascot, the razorback hog.
Fans will often spell out “RAZ-OR-BACKS” while chanting the phrase. The tradition is said to date back to the early 1900s, when a group of students chanted the phrase at a baseball game
The tradition has continued throughout the years and can be heard at all sorts of Arkansas sporting events – from football games to basketball games and beyond.
It’s even made its way onto Facebook, where there are several fan pages dedicated to Calling the Hogs. And if you’re ever in Arkansas on game day you’ll definitely hear it shouted loud and proud by Razorbacks fans!
