Class 5A

The top rated team in class 5A according to the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union is West Des Moines Valley. They are 6-0 on the season with convincing wins over their opponents. They have an average margin of victory of 23.8 points per game The number two ranked team is Ankeny Centennial, who is also 6-0 on the season. They have an average margin of victory of 16.5 points per game

Class 4A

The top Iowa Girls Basketball rankings for the 2019-2020 season have been released. Class 4A is led by Ankeny Centennial, West Des Moines Dowling Catholic, Cedar Rapids Xavier, and Iowa City West

Class 3A

1. Ankeny Centennial
The Ankeny Centennial Girls basketball team is currently ranked as the number one team in Class 3A. They have a record of 13-0 and are led by senior guard Elise Welker. The Mount Vernon Mustangs come in at #3 with a record of 10-2 on the season. The Mustangs have wins over some quality opponents, including Anamosa and West Delaware The team is led by sophomore Macy Kyner, who is averaging 16 points and five assists per game this season.

Class 1A

The top Iowa girls basketball Rankings for the 2019-2020 Season have been released, and Class 1A looks competitive as ever.

The top ranked team in Class 1A is Dike-New Hartford, who are looking to defend their title from last year. They are followed closely by Pella Christian who finished as runners up last year.

Both of these teams will be looking to dethrone last year’s champions, and it should be a close race to the top. Other teams in contention for the title include Western Christian and North Butler.

It should be an exciting season of Girls Basketball in Iowa, and these are the Teams to Watch out for in Class 1A.
