Tonight:  Rusev Vs Samoa Joe

In-Ring Promo:  The Women’s Money in the Bank Summit

Paige is here to introduce the 4 women who will represent Smackdown Live.  She tells them this Sunday night, they have the opportunity to bring back that contract, and change their lives forever.  She runs down the 4 Raw women who will compete too.  Paige needs the best Smackdown Live have to offer, and she has the best here.  They earned that career-defining moment.  She doesn’t care who wins, as long as one of them brings back to MY HOUSE/

Lana tells her she will bring it home, Naomi has some words with her.  Naomi tells us she won the first ever Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal.  Charlotte tells Naimi she is right, but she wasn’t in that match.  She has won The NXT Women’s Championship, she won the Raw Women’s Championship, she won Smackdown Live Women’s Championship, and she has done everything in her career, except win Money in the Bank Ladder Match.  Becky Lynch tells us her accolades, she was the first ever Smackdown Live Women’s Championship, but she is sick of saying has been.  It’s about taking it now.  She reminds Charlotte she will do whatever she needs to, including walking over her best friend, like last week.  Becky asked how her arm is doing.  Naomi reminds Becky there will be 6 women involved too, and Becky said she will walk all over all of them.

The IIconics come to the ring, and give us imitations of all 4 women, involved.  Here comes Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, Mandy says to Paige she will be disappointed this Sunday, because the talent outside of the ring is far more superior than the talent in the ring.

The fight is on with all 8 women.  I smell an 8-woman tag match tonight.

Tonight:  8-Woman Tag Team Match

Match Number 1:  Daniel Bryan Vs Shelton Benjamin

I like how these matches tonight are being billed as “First time ever”, so this match lived to the hype.  Daniel wins the match, making Shelton tap out to the Heel Hook.  Daniel is set for his match with Big Cass this Sunday.

Winner:  Daniel Bryan, by submission

Video:  Nakamuta Vs Styles

Next:  Jerry “The King” Lawler Interviews AJ Styles

Backstage Segment:  Paige and Asuka

Paige runs into Asuka, she wants Carmella tonight.  Paige says she can’t do that, but she can add both Carmella and Asuka into the 8-woman tag match, and make it 10-Woman Tag Match.  Then she runs into The Miz, he wants to referee tonight’s match with Joe Vs Rusev.  Paige agrees to do that, but makes it her own idea.

Video:  Backlash

In-Ring Interview:  AJ Styles, with Jerry “The King” Lawler

King introduces us to the WWE Champion, AJ Styles.  Lawler enjoyed that moment AJ slapped Nakamura, what was he thinking about that moment?  He snapped, and he thinks he needs to apologize, for not using his fists.  This is the big leagues, this is the house AJ Styles built, and we have rules.  Nakamura won’t play by those rules, so AJ Styles will be the Last Man Standing, he will walk into Money in the Bank as WWE Champion, and will walk out as WWE Champion.

Backstage Segment:  The Miz

The Miz is getting some referee points, and he is ready to be the referee.

Next:  Samoa Joe Vs Rusev

Money in the Bank Kick-Off Show Match:  SD Live Tag Team Title Match

Match Number 2:  Samoa Joe Vs Rusev, with The Miz as Special Guest Ref

The Miz tries to call it down the middle, but that bully Samoa Joe bumped into The Miz, and he is the referee.  Joe showed him who is in charge, and Rusev nails a Machka Kick for the win.  Rusev Day for everyone.  Rusev finds a ladder, and nails Joe with it.  Rusev climbs the ladder, but The Miz comes right back, and nails a Skull Crushing Finale.  Now he sees the briefcase, climbs the ladder, and holds it.  He shows the announce team the briefcase, and it’s not with the contract?  It’s filled with pancakes.  New Day approves.

Winner:  Rusev, by pinfall

Tonight:  10-Woman Tag Match

Next:  Jeff Hardy Vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Match Number 3:  Jeff Hardy (IC Champ) Vs Shinsuke Nakamura, in a non-title match

Jeff had Shinsuke beat with a Swantawn, but Nakamura escaped to the ropes.  He gives Jeff a low blow to cause the DQ loss, then nails Kinsasha, counting to 10.

Winner:  Jeff Hardy, by DQ

Backstage Interview:  Carmella

Renee asks Carmella if she is concerned about tonight’s 10-woman tag match?  Mella laughs it off, saying she is the champion, she is not concerned at all, or concerned about anyone.  Becky Lynch should be concern, Charlotte, Lana, Naomi should all be concerned, Asuka needs to be concerned the most.  Because she is the champion, and Mella is money.

Next:  10-Woman Tag Match

Backstage Interview:  Big Cass

Cass wants to send a message to Daniel Bryan.  He made an appearance to the Memphis Fair, being paid $25K.  He took some pictures, took his money, but he also brought the Height Buster.  He believed he would take the Smackdown Live out and have fun.  But there is one WWE superstar who didn’t meet the requirement, it’s Daniel Bryan.  He said last week that a good big man can beat a good little man.  It will be a ride, but it will be a 3 foot drop, and if Daniel comes to my line, he will get smacked right back down.

Match Number 4:  Carmella (SD Live Women’s Champ), Absolution, and The IIconics Vs Asuka, Naomi, Lana, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair in a 10-Woman Tag Match

Asuka wins with their match, nailing an Asuka Lock, making Carmella tap out, and this ends the show with all 5 women celebrating.

Winners:  Asuka, Naomi, Lana, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte, by submission

Kevin’s Thoughts:

I liked this show, everything about it meant something, which is something Raw is lacking right now.  This Sunday, Money in the Bank, we will find out where everyone stands.  I will be here for Saturday night at NXT Takeover.  Share me your thoughts on tonight’s show.
