In-Ring Promo: Kurt Angle And Alexa Bliss
Welcome to Monday Night Raw, he is proud to say superstars from Raw won both Money in the Bank matches, and they got their contracts. He welcomes the new Raw Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss.
Kurt awards Alexa her newly won Raw Women’s Championship, but informs Alexa that at next month’s PPV, Extreme Rules, Nia jax will invoke her rematch clause, and face Alexa, while she is in Birmingham rehabbing. Alexa said to thank the fans for not believing in her, because this is about Alexa Bliss. She defeated two bullies, and we won’t have either one, because this is about the era of Alexa Bliss.
Ronda Rousey comes to the ring, ready for a fight. Alexa asked her if she is still bruised from the beating Alexa gave to Ronda, or is she here to learn a lesson that what she did last night was legal. Alexa admits last night, Ronda was seconds away from becoming the new Raw Women’s Champion. But we will never know what could have happened. Ronda is upset that she didn’t get the highlights last night. ESPN interviewed Alexa. Bleacher Report interviewed Alexa. CBS Sports interviewed Alexa. Ronda is just an over-hyped rookie, and now she can get to the end of the line if she ever wants another title shot again. Ronda heard enough, she went through Kurt Angle, and speared Alexa. She beat her down, Kurt tries to pull her aside, and Ronda gave Kurt a hip toss, this allows Alexa to grab the briefcase, but misses Ronda, and Rousey just beat the shot out of Alexa with it, THEN NAILS KURT WITH THE BRIEFCASE TOO, AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM!! Ronda picks Alexa up, and gives her a Powerbomb RIGHT THROUGH THE TABLE!! She kicks refs. What a segment!!
Backstage Segment: Kurt and Ronda
Ronda is sick of people telling her this isn’t the UFC, and Kurt says this isn’t the UFC, he has no other choice but to suspend Ronda for 30 days. Now leave, and get your things. He is sorry, and Ronda said he will be sorry, and leaves.
Moments Ago: Ronda Rousey Kicking Ass
Backstage Interview: Ronda Rousey
Renee Young catches up with Ronda, but Ronda doesn’t say anything, but Ronda wishes Ronda good luck. Ronda said Kurt can suspend her for 30 days, but save her the good luck. Because she will return 30 days, and whether Alexa is Raw Women’s Champion or not, she will come back, and kick her pink-hair ass.
In-Ring Promo: Seth Rollins
The Intercontinental Champion is out here, its heating up here tonight. A very nice energy out here, a buzz in the locker room. Seth thinks they should keep it going. Last night, Elias took him to the limit and he loved every second of it. But Seth is still standing, and still the Intercontinental Champion, baby. Seth is a fighting champion. He is here every Monday night, and he is all heart, so how about we have an Intercontinental Championship Open Challenge? There is no better place than here, and no better time than right now. So who steps out, and accepts the challenge?
Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre answers the challenge, but who officially accepts? It’s Ziggler.
Match Number 1: Seth Rollins (IC Champ) Vs Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
The match started slow, but picked up the pace, and told a story of Rollins being too cocky. Both men reversed the roll-ups, and Ziggler holds on to the tights and for the 6th time, Ziggler becomes the new Intercontinental Champion. Rollins is beside himself, and gets right in the face of Dolph. McIntyre attacks Rollins and nails the Zig Zag/Claymore combination.
Winner, and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, by pinfall
Tonight: The Monster in the Bank
Moments Ago: Ziggler Vs Rollins
Backstage Interview: Ziggler and McIntyre
Renee Young brings in Ziggler and McIntyre, Ziggler says Monday Night Rollins is officially cancelled, it is now their show. McIntyre talks about they warned everyone that they would take over, and this is the first of many titles they are going to win. Ziggler says everyone has their catchphrases, “Burn It Down” or “This Is My Yard”, but the difference between what they do, and what the others do is they back up their talk with wins.
Match Number 2: Bobby Roode Vs Curt Hawkins
Curt loses for his 203rd straight match, and we get a Glorious DDT, Roode wins, moving on.
Winner: Bobby Roode, by pinfall
Next: Monster in the Bank
In-Ring Promo: Mr. Monster in the Bank
You see, I have smashed tables, and broken ladders. I flipped an ambulance over my bare hands, I tossed men around like bean bags in Saudi Arabia. I even played the Cello, but as great as all of that was, this was the greatest. I stepped in the ring with 7 other superstars, but I smashed, stomped all over to get this. And now all Brock Lesnar has to do is show up, and Braun will cash in on his briefcase, to get his hands on the WWE Universal Championship, because Brock Lesnar will GET THESE HANDS!!
Kevin Owens shows up, and he is surprised Owens is here after flipping him off the ladder 20 feet off. Kevin shouldn’t be out here, he can’t even breathe, but he is not here to start trouble or take Braun’s spotlight, but he wanted to be the first man in the locker room to congratulate Braun. He deserves it, and he knew Braun was going to win, because he tried to get all of the other man to gang up on Braun, but they didn’t listen, and he earned that win. But Braun, he is here to warn him to think about his cash-in. And this is where Owens steps in. They are not just two angry men, he is here to help Braun. Who can he trust? At Wrestlemania, he had to look for a tag team partner through the crowd, a 10-year old kid. Sami got hurt last night by Bobby Lashley, so he doesn’t even have a friend, so they need each other. Kevin suggests Braun does something for Kevin, and Kevin does something for Kevin, and when Braun cashes in the title, Kevin gets the first title shot. He is not here to get these hands, he is just here to help Braun out, so how about we start this tonight? Owens holds out his hand, Braun takes it, but he pulls him closer, is about to lift him up for a Powerslam, but Kevin gets outs of it.
Last Monday: The Riott Squad
Backstage Segment: Sasha Banks and Bayley
Bayley is telling Sasha she was rooting for her, and is sorry about what happened. But it’s time to stop sulking, Bayley is surprised Sasha isn’t watching it over on her phone. She was, Sasha just wants to be the best, Bayley said she understands. But it’s time to start fresh, and tonight, Bayley wants Sasha to team up with her, and take care of The Riott Squad. They shake hands, and are ready tonight.
Tonight: Sasha Banks and Bayley Vs The Riott Squad
Next: The Deleter of Worlds
Match Number 3: The Deleter of Worlds (Raw Tag Champs) Vs Heath Slater and Rhyno in a non-title match
Before the match, The B-Team shows up on the screen, giving us a Deleter of Worlds impression, which is funny since Bo and Bray are brothers. Bray knows how to imitate his brother’s voice. The Tag Champs took care of business, pinning the former Tag Champs.
Earlier Tonight: Ronda, Alexa, and Kurt
Backstage Segment: Kurt and Baron
Corbin comes over to Kurt, saying Stephanie was happy how Kurt handled Ronda, and Kurt said he didn’t do it for Stephanie, and he turns around to see Baron is still on the phone with Steph. They talk it out on the phone.
We come back, and Kurt has to make a big announcement later tonight.
Match Number 4: Jinder Mahal Vs Chad Gable
Jinder speaks out that as human beings, we must be open for change. Last night, Jinder felt the wind of change, and while Roman Reigns won the match, Jinder welcomes the change. As all of the fans, Roman is bitter, and Jinder has felt tranquility. Just like Jinder’s opponent, Chad Gable, he lives on the glory of his former self, as an amateur wrestling background, but Chad must feel the change too, and we have a more aggressive intensity of Jinder. Chad shows some offense, but The Khallas takes over, and Jinder picks up the win.
Winner: Jinder Mahal, by pinfall
Backstage Segment: Riott Squad Destroying Property
Next: Bayley and Sasha Vs The Riott Squad
Video: Special Olympics
Match Number 5: Bayley and Sasha Banks Vs The Riott Squad
Bayley and Sasha couldn’t get on the same page, and they lost again. But this time, Sasha shoves Bayley, and walks away.
Winners: The Riott Squad, by pinfall
Next: Kurt Angle Makes An Announcement
Backstage Segment: Sasha Banks and Bayley
Bayley tries to get a word from Sasha, and they still have words, but this time Bayley is the aggressor. The two start to fight each other, and Sasha nails Bayley with some catering stuff, and walks away.
In-Ring Promo: Kurt Angle
Kurt is here to say WWE officials have agreed when Brock Lesnar will retain his Universal Championship again, but who will it be? Roman Reigns shows up.
Roman says the answer to that question is standing in front of you. Roman beat Brock at Greatest Royal Rumble. Kurt knows it, Roman knows it, the fans know it. And as Roman sees it, Kurt is having some problems running Monday Night Raw, and he would think someone like that would want his champion to defend the title every week, Kurt.
Bobby Lashley shows up, he wants his shot. You’re the guy? Even before he was in WWE, Bobby has watched Roman try to beat Brock Lesnar for 3 years, and he doesn’t think Roman can get the job done. He has been wanting to get his hands on Brock ever since Roman was a little kid, and he knows he can beat Brock. Kurt says so many guys want a shot to beat Brock, the winner of a multi-person match will be the one who faces Brock, and Kurt will make that announcement at a later date.
The Revival comes to the ring, they want just one chance to get to championship glory. Lashley and Roman are Wrestlemania elite stars, no question about it, but they are ready to tear each other up, which is why they challenge these two to a match, and they will be matched up, and beat by The Revival. Lashley and Reigns are good with that, and here we go.
Match Number 6: Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns Vs The Revival
Lashley and Roman win, but Lashley steals Roman’s pin, and shows him how to do a spear.
Winners: Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns, by pinfall
Backstage Segment: Everyone
Kurt and Corbin walk backstage, Finn Balor shows up, saying he will do whatever it takes to be a part of that match at Extreme Rules, because he wants a shot at the Universal Title. Baron laughs about that, because he had that title for 24 hours, and hurt his shoulder. Kevin Owens shows up, questions if Finn can do anything, and Finn warns him someone can be behind him, it’s Braun Strowman. Braun can be anywhere he wants with the MITB briefcase, and says he is here to watch Finn’s back/ Kurt just walks away. It’s the very definition of tonight’s show.
Match Number 7: Mojo Rawley Vs No Way Jose
Mojo picks up the win, with the Hyper Drive.
Winner: Mojo Rawley, by pinfall
Mojo has an in-ring interview, and says he used to be about getting hyped, but now he is about to get serious.
Backstage Segment: Bayley and Sasha
Sasha wants to drive away, and insists that Bayleay leaves her alone, and drives off.
In-Ring Concert: Elias
Elias gives us a mini-concert about doing what he’s got to do. Not even Elias is entertaining me right now.
Backstage Interview: Seth Rollins
Renee Young asks Seth where he goes from here after losing the IC Title, and if last night’s match had anything to do with the loss. Seth doesn’t want any excuses, Ziggler beat him tonight, and earned that. But next week, he will invoke his rematch clause and take back his Intercontinental Championship.
Match Number 8: Braun Strowman and Finn Balor Vs Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin
Corbin and Owens pick up the win when Corbin nails a Deep Six, and pins Balor, to end the show.
Winners: Finn Balor and Kevin Owens, by pinfall
Next Week: WWE Intercontinental Championship Rematch
One more thing too AJ Styles is the new WWE2K19 Cover Boy this coming October for XBox-One and Playstation 4, so congratulations to the WWE Champion. But boy, I am glad this show is over. The first hour was some good stuff, but it went downhill very quickly, and we never had a main event set up until 10:15. Think about that one. But the beginning segment was hot, with Ronda Rousey showing some fire, and it’s a good way to get her back in training, ready for Summerslam. I also liked the IC Title match, though I was hoping Rollins would have a longer run. Other than that, nothing was important, so why bother comment anymore? What were your thoughts on the show? Do you agree? Disagree? Sound off here.
