Match Number 1:  The Undisputed Era (NXT Tag team Champs) Vs Olney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championship

What a great finish, we see Olney and Burch have a chance at winning the match, and the titles with the Doomsday European Uppercut, but Adam Cole interferes.  The referee kicked out Cole, and we had all 4 men fight.  The finish came with The Undisputed Era retaining their Tag Team Titles, with the Kick/Sweep combination, and Strong pins Olney for the win.

Winners, and STILL NXT Tag team Champions:  The Undisputed Era, by pinfall

Burch and Lorcan get a standing ovation after the match.

Match Number 2:  Ricochet vs Velveteen Dream

This was a grudge match, so to speak.  Both men started giving us an homage to The Rock Vs Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 18.  We had Ricochet missing a Purple Rain Maker, we had Dream missing an Elbow, and Ricochet hits a Spinning 630 for the pinfall.  What a match, and both men showcased what they do in the ring.

Winner:  Ricochet, by pinfall

Match Number 3:  Shayna Baszler (NXT Women’s Champ) Vs Nikki Cross for the NXT Women’s Championship

This was a weird match, everything Shayna did, Nikki smiled at the pain.  Nikki did not inflict much pain, it was more or less a squash match, but the story here was Nikki smiling at everything.  Shayna slaps on the Kirifude Clutch, but Nikki did not tap out, she passed out.  Shayna retains her title, but with the ending, there will more than likely be another match in 2 months at the NXT Takeover:  Brooklyn

Winner, and STILL NXT Women’s Champion:  Shayna Baszler, by submission

In The House:  EC3 and Keith Lee

Match Number 4:  Aleister Black (NXT Champ) Vs Lars Sullivan for the NXT Championship

These two men beat the living hell out of each other.  It took 3 Black Mask Heel Kicks (1 of them was totally missed), and Lars finally was pinned.  Aleister Black retains his title.

Winner, and STILL NXT Champion:  Aleister Black, by pinfall

Match Number 5:  Johnny Gargano Vs Tommaso Ciampa in a Chicago Street Fight

This had raw emotion, 2 former best friends going all out to beat the hell out of each other.  Tommaso ripped the ring apart, and that played a part at the end of the match.  Tommaso gave Johnny pain, went to the outside, took Johnny’s wedding ring off.  And Johnny woke up for this in a rage, sent Tomasso through a table with a TKO.  Officials came right out to check on Tommaso, and for a moment, this looked to be a no contest, but Johnny went after Tomasso, who was put on a stretcher, and flew the stretcher right back to the ring.  Johnny handcuffed him, gave him the Crossface, but there was no referee.  Johnny punched the officials, who were trying to stop the attack.  Tommaso then took this to the apron of the ring, and landed a DDT, to pin Johnny, after Johnny’s head hits the cardboard end of the ring.  Ciampa has this sinister smile, as he survived the beating to end the show.

Winner:  Tommaso Ciampa, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

What an ending, and this will certainly continue with the feud.  They played it off like this began last year in Chicago, and it will end here.  Nope, but I loved it anyway.  The Tag Team Title match started off on fire, Dream Vs Ricochet certainly entertained us, but the other 2 matches failed to live up to expectations, but that main event showed us that Johnny is the best babyface, and Ciampa is the best heel, bar none.  I can’t wait to see what we will have next.  What did you think of the show?  Send me your thoughts here.
