Tonight:  Shinsuke Nakamura Vs AJ Styles (Winner Picks Stipulations For Money in the Bank)

In-Ring Interview:  Daniel Bryan

Daniel was victorious at Wrestlemania, and at Greatest Royal Rumble, he went in for 75 minutes, a WWE record.  He beat Big Cass at Backlash, but last week, he lost to Rusev in a MITB qualifying match.  The crowd went crazy, and Daniel tells Renee to feel that.  Was he disappointed in losing?  Yes, does anyone here like to lose?  When Daniel first came back, he was happy to be there, but he wants to compete, and be on top.  He knows it will be difficult to do, but when it’s all sad and done, he will be WWE Champion.  Big Cass shows up.  Daniel Bryan, he has been in the back hearing him run his mouth, and Cass is sick of it.  They may drink the kool-aid, and he does not.  Cass knows the real truth about Daniel.  Renee said his first major setback was losing to Rusev.  He disagrees, because Cass was the first major setback, and it was Cass who will make sure he never wins the WWE Champion again.  Did he lose at Backlash?  Yes, he tapped out, but he did quickly so he can beat the holy hell out of Daniel.  He will make sure Daniel doesn’t go anywhere except without a 7 footer shadowing him everywhere he goes.  And Daniel last 75 minutes, but what happened when Cass came in?  He gave Daniel the big boot, and shoved him over the top rope.  Is Daniel Bryan a loser?  Yes!!  Should Daniel Bryan had stayed retired?  Yes!!  And should Daniel go back home, and be a stay-at-home father, and let Brie wear the pants on for the family?  Yes.

Cass slowly comes to the ring, but Daniel fights Cass.  Daniel went after the knee, and made Cass tap out again to the Yes Lock, Daniel looks like he is in a different place here.  Cass runs away.

Backstage Segment:  Paige

Paige is talking to Carmella, about tonight’s Mellabration, and she is met by Absolution.  Mandy won her match, so she is going to Money in the Bank.  Paige informs her she isn’t in Money in the Bank.  They have to earn their way there.  So tonight, both are in a qualifying match against Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat match.

Backstage Interview:  AJ Styles

Renee wants to know what stipulation AJ would choose if he wins.  It’s not if he wins, it’s when he wins.  He hasn’t made up his mind, but he knows the international sign of Forearm to Face.  And he will do that anywhere, including The House AJ Styles Built.

They are not impressed with tonight’s competition.  They didn’t come to SD Live to play nice, they came to SD Live to take over.

Backstage Segment:  Rusev Day

Aidan reserved Rusev’s own private room, but it could have been better.  We only have London people to thank for that.  They are ready to take over Money in the Bank.  Lana shows up, and says she will be in a Qualifying Match next week against Billie Kay.  She will CRUSH Billie Kay, and with Rusev winning, and Lana, they will be the first couple to win Money in the Bank.

Tonight:  Women’s MITB Qualifying Triple Threat Match

Next:  The Royal Mellabration

In-Ring Segment:  The Royal Mellabration

We even have an English dude introduce us The Staten Island Princess.  Carmella wants to give the fans something back, so cheer for her.  Nobody is cheering for her.  People line up in the hospital to see an ugly baby, yet they won’t cheer for her?  She is the moon-walking, trash-talking princess from Staten Island, so cheer for her.  The fans remind her of Smackdown Live women’s locker room, they don’t like her.  Yet she is better than the fans, she is better than Charlotte Flair, she is better than Becky Lynch, better than Naomi, better than Nia Jax, better than Alexa Bliss, better than Ronda Rousey.

Here comes Paige to interrupt matters.  Paige heard Carmella is better than everyone.  She is here to announce Carmella’s Money in the Bank opponent.  Mella says she isn’t doing it, and Paige informs her she will, and it’s against this woman…Asuka.  Carmella walks away. and we have our match set at Money in the Bank.

Backstage Interview:  Shinsuke Nakamura

He hasn’t beaten AJ Styles to win the WWE Championship, but tonight, if he beats AJ Styles, he will choose a stipulation for Money in the Bank.  How do you feel about your chances?  What is chance?  Nakamura says AJ Styles will lose with a kick to a face, then another kick in the face, and so on and so.  Styles will be gone.

Next:  Women’s Triple Threat MITB Qualifying Match

Match Number 3:  Mandy Rose Vs Becky Lynch Vs Sonya Deville in a Triple Threat MITB Qualifying Match

Becky Lynch survives with a Disarmer, after Many Rose decks Sonya, putting her out of the match.  A big win for Becky here. as she was on a losing streak for a bit.  She advances to Money in the Bank.

Winner, and Advances To Money in the Bank:  Becky Lynch, by pinfall

Next Week:  Samoa Joe Vs Big Cass MITB Qualifying Match

Next Week:  Billie Kay vs Lana in Women’s MITB Qualifying Match

Selfie Promo:  Samoa Joe

Joe has dealt with fake tough guys like Cass before, who has a big mouth.  He has made it a habit of making smaller guys your target.  But with ambitions and demands, Cass is now Joe’s target.  Winning Money in the Bank, and becoming champion is an ambition for Joe.  But don’t worry Cass, Joe has a dream, where he puts Cass to sleep.

Selfie Promo:  The IIconics

They are preparing for their match next week against Lana.  They will be future champions, and the future is IIconic.

Match Number 4:  AJ Styles (WWE Champ) Vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Winner Selects Money in the Bank Stipulation

What a great match between these two, we had a ref bump, to which Nakamura faked a Low blow.  Then he nailed an Exploder on Styles, and hits a Kinsasha to win the match.  So Shinsuke will get to choose the stipulation to their WWE Title match at Money in the Bank.  What will be?  The show ends here.

Winner:  Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

I enjoyed this show, namely the Daniel Bryan segment, and the main event.  Both set the tone for the show.  I liked Carmella segment too, we see who her next opponent is.  Both MITB matches were good, I just felt a bit underwhelmed about Almas’ debut.  And I fault that with the booking, I’m looking for him to fit right in.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Sound off here, I will talk to you Monday for Raw.  But the Cleveland Cavaliers game will be on, so I will either watch the show Monday night, or Tuesday.
