In-Ring Promo:  Kurt Angle

Welcome to Monday Night Raw, Kurt is proud to say he has been a part of WWE family for over 20 years.  The one thing that separates them from any company is they never stop.  They do it for the fans, and we have gone from Wrestlemania, to Superstar Shake-up to Saudi Arabia, for Greatest Royal Rumble, and we had Backlash last night.  Now we are moving on to Money in the Bank, where we will have 2 MITB matches.  One representing the men, the other representing the women.  Tonight, we have 2 qualifying matches that will give us Ember Moon Vs Ruby Riott Vs Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat Match.  The other will feature Roman Reigns Vs Finn Balor Vs Sami Zayn.

We have Braun Strowman come out.  He asks Kurt if he ever told him about a time when he was a little kid, little boys in the neighborhood decided they wanted to build a tree house.  Braun listen to them saw boards, hammer nails, paint the house, and not one time did they ever ask Braun for help, and when they got done, you had to do a stupid little handshake so they can climb up the tree house.  You know what he did?  Climb up, and knock the tree house down?  He waited until they all were up, and he knocked down the whole damn tree house.  Kurt tells Braun he has been on a roll.  He won the Tag team Titles at Wrestlemania, he won the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, and he won at Backlash last night.  If anyone deserved a shot at Money in the Bank, it’s Braun.  It’s true.

Here comes Kevin Owens.  If anyone deserves to be in that ladder match, it’s Kevin.  He has only been on Raw for a few weeks, but not even Kurt can see, the MVP is Kevin. Last night, Braun pinned the wrong man, and he threw the rule book out the window.  So technically, Kevin and Sami should be declared the winners of the tag team match.  That means Braun Strowman is on the losing team, which means he isn’t on a roll, Kevin is on a roll.  And Braun Strowman should be in a giant corner, because he has been a very bad monster, Braun.  Kurt said he can’t put Kevin in a Money in the Bank Ladder match, you have to earn that.  He was about to say Braun is in a qualifying match tonight.  Kevin said Braun doesn’t deserve it, and Braun said the only thing you will get is THESE HANDS!!  Kevin tells Kurt the most sensible thing he needs to do is put Kevin in a qualifying match, because Stephanie McMahon brought him back, and she is watching.  Kurt said he will put Braun in a qualifying match, and his opponent is Kevin Owens.  That match is up now.

Match Number 1:  Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens in a MITB Qualifying Match

It’s Kevin Owens’ birthday, so what was the best gift he can get?  THESE HANDS!!  Strowman advances to Money in the Bank Ladder Match with a Powerslam.  Owens tried his best, but Braun used the brute strength.

Winner, and Advances to Money In The Bank Ladder Match:  Braun Strowman, by pinfall

Tonight:  Women’s Triple Threat MITB Qualifying Match

Backstage Interview:  Roman Reigns

Mike Rowe is standing by with Roman.  Roman handled his business last night with Samoa Joe at Backlash, but what is his mindset going into the match?  Reigns is the uncrowned WWE Universal Champion, yet he doesn’t get his title match.  He has to be in a qualifying match for MITB.  He can’t control the politics backstage, but he can control what he does in the ring.  So Sami Zayn and Finn Balor needs to be warned, he will take care of business tonight, win MITB, and control everything.

Backstage Segment:  Goldust and Kurt Angle

Goldust wants to compete for the opportunity to qualify in Money in the Bank Ladder Match, it is his goal to grab some gold.  Jinder Mahal interrupts, asking why he isn’t in the triple threat, and Roman is.  He has opportunity after opportunity, and has failed.  But Jinder does not.  Kurt tells him he hasn’t won a Raw match yet, but he has a chance to impress with a win over Chad Gable, tonight.

Winners:  Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, by pinfall

Next:  Elias Vs Roode

In-Ring Concert:  Elias

Hello, I am Elias.  And I have one question for everybody here tonight.  Who wants to walk with Elias?  He knows so many truths, and no truth is more apparent that we all know, that truth is WWE stands for Walk With Elias.  He is on a different planet than anyone else.  He was interrupted by pancakes, and that no good Bobby Roode.  You all support a talentless, boring hack.  But if he wants to interrupt his singing again, Elias will gladly rip off his vocal chords.  Then he will win Money in the Bank Ladder Match.  Rusev Day chant going, and he tells us Rusev Day has nothing on Elias.  Right now, he needs us to silent our cellphones, hold our applause, and shut our traps.  He sings about Bobby Roode.

Match Number 6:  Elias Vs Bobby Roode

They continue to trade winds here.  Elias took the turnbuckle off, but Roode caught on here, and nails the Glorious DDT for the pinfall victory.

Winner:  Bobby Roode, by pinfall

In-Ring Interview:  Bobby Roode

Charly Caruso tells Bobby after that win, it has to feel great.  Bobby is hoping after what he did to Elias, Kurt Angle grants him a chance at Money in the Bank Ladder Match.  And winning that would be GLORIOUS!!

Tonight:  Men’s Triple Threat MITB Qualifying Match

Next:  Seth Rollins

In-Ring Promo:  Seth Rollins

Long Island, how you feeling tonight?  After last night, Seth is feeling pretty good too.  Because after last night at Backlash, whether you love him, whether you hate him, The Miz took Seth to the limit.  But he smashed his dreams by tying Chris Jericho’s IC Title run.  But to be honest, if there is one thing he can learn from The Miz, it is the champion of what not to be.  Seth wants to be a champion that is here every week, he wants to be a fighting champ.  All of the buzz going on with Money in the Bank, and rightfully so.  Seth knows a thing or two about that.  But that is not his focus, his focus is making the Intercontinental Title THE title, and he will start that up by issuing an open challenge, and he wants to do that right here, right now.

This is Mojo’s Raw debut, and an opportunity comes knocking, he is going to knock him down.  That is what Mojo does, just like what he did to Long Island’s Zack Ryder.  He’s going to knock him out, then he wants to qualify for Money in the Bank.  Seth tells Mojo, you want to fight, then come inside and get your ass kicked.

Match Number 7:  Seth Rollins (IC Champ) Vs Mojo Rawley, for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Mojo kept getting frustrated, when Seth keeps fighting back, and that cost him the match.  Rollins retains his title with Curb Stomp.

Winner, and STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion:  Seth Rollins, by pinfall

Selfie Promo:  Finn Balor

He is ready for tonight’s Triple Threat match.

Match Number 8:  The Deleter Of Worlds (Raw Tag Champs) Vs Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt in a non-title match

The delighters of the world DELETED their opponents.  Hardy and Wyatt win with a double Sister Abigail.  Where does Bo and Curtis go from here?

Winners:  The Deleter of Worlds, by pinfall

Selfie Promos:  Natalya and Baron Corbin

They want their opportunities to win Money in the Bank.

Next:  Triple Threat MITB Qualifying Match

Match Number 9:  Roman reigns Vs Sami Zayn Vs Finn Balor in a Triple Threat MITB Qualifying Match

In stunning fashion, Finn Balor stole this pin, because Jinder Mahal cost Roman Reigns the win.  He took Roman out of the ring, and Balor took over, pinning Sami.  Balor and Braun both advance to Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and we end the show with Balor celebrating, and Jinder staring down Roman.

Winner, and Advances to Money In The Banks Ladder Match:  Finn Balor, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This was a good show, with the direction being focused on Money in the Bank.  We will probably be getting Roman Vs Jinder at the PPV.  I am surprised no mention of Universal Championship, as I had the impression Brock would be working at this show.  But I guess not, at least not right now.  Ember Moon is a good choice to be in Women’s MITB Ladder Match, she is a superstar to watch for the next few years.  No Nia Jax, no Alexa Bliss, as she hurt her shoulder Sunday night.  But we will see more of them in the coming months.  Next week’s show will be in London, which makes it incredible how much traveling they are going to be doing.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Send me your thoughts here.
