In-Ring Promo:  Roman Reigns

{ADSense-A]

Roman isn’t going to make any excuses, there is no need to.  We saw the footage, so we are looking at the real WWE Universal Champion.  We get Roman Sucks from the Canadians.  Roman should be the Universal Champion, but he is not….yet.  And a lot of people doubted him, but he is a man of his word.  He beat Brock in that cage, which is why he will never lose faith in himself.  He would say that to Brock, but he is not here.  And he will turn his attention to his opponent this Sunday.  Samoa Joe shows up on the screen, telling Roman he would lose to Lesnar, and he did.  And now Joe is here to give him a simple fact, this Sunday at Backlash, he will put Roman’s spiraling career to sleep.

Jinder Mahal shows up to the ring.  If there is one thing I can’t stand is for someone to make excuses for their shortcomings.  Jinder has an excuse, Jeff Hardy cheated, but you don’t hear him complaining.  At Backlash, you will lose to Samoa Joe, and tonight, you will lose to “The Modern Day Maharaja”, and someday, he will hold the Universal Championship.  Now Montreal’s own Sami Zayn comes out to a thunderous welcome.  Sami speaks in French to show off.  Let’s get down to business, you two boys complain about Greatest Royal Rumble, Sami sustained a serious injury last week at the hands of Bobby Lashley that he couldn’t compete, he had a serious case of vertigo.  But he’s here tonight, and he will be the one to take on Roman Reigns.  Enter Kevin Owens, the hometown guy.  Kevin speaks French too, which the crowd loves.  But Sami, my old friend with all due respect, Owens knows he can beat Roman Reigns.  But tonight, he thinks the people want to see Roman Reigns Vs Kevin Owens.  But now we have a bit of a situation, because Jinder Mahal, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens wants a piece of Roman Reigns, so we will have a popularity contest.  He asks the crowd if they want to see Reigns Vs any of them.  The Montreal crowd does not want to see Jinder Mahal.  Kevin Owens won the popularity vote.  Roman decks Owens, and now all three men gang up on Reigns.  And here comes Bobby Lashley.  And here comes Braun Strowman to even the odds.

Tonight:  Mickie James Vs Natalya

Next:  Elias In Concert, against Bobby Roode

In-Ring Concert:  Elias

Hello, my name is Elias, and I am here so consider yourself blessed.  Because I have one question here for everybody tonight, who wants to walk with Elias?  I am truly a gift, sometimes I get lost in all my thoughts, I forget how much of a gift I truly am for you.  But we all know WWE stands for Walk With Elias.  How many of you saw Greatest Royal Rumble?  There were greats like Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, and he knows this because he eliminated them all.  He is such a gifted superstar, unlike Bobby Roode,.  In fact, Elias wrote a song for you, about Bobby. So silence your cellphones, hold your applause, and shut your mouth, while he performs.  Elias gives us a song about Bobby, but of course, Roode is rude.

Match Number 1:  Elias Vs Bobby Roode

The match ends in a no contest when Elias throws Bobby into the ring post, throat first.  Bobby could not finish the match, and no official decision was made, but Elias believed he won.

Winner:  No Contest

Tonight:  6-Man Tag Match

During Commercial:  Bobby Roode Being Looked At

Match Number 2:  Authors Of Pain Vs John-Paul and Francois

The Last Chapter, that is all she wrote.

Winners:  Authors Of Pain, by pinfall

Authors of Pain says this isn’t over, pain of destruction will continue.

Next:  Monday Night Rollins

In-Ring Promo:  Seth Rollins

The crowd is wild, as has Seth Rollins’ career the past month.  Wrestlemania, he won the Intercontinental Championship.  Then we go to South Africa, he defends Intercontinental Championship, we go back to St. Louis, then we go to Saudi Arabia at Greatest Royal Rumble, he defends Intercontinental Championship, and now we are here live in Montreal.  The crowd love this, giving a ole chant.  That last month was crazy, but you guys are worth it.  Seth wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.  That flight home from Saudi Arabia he reflected on many things, what kind of champion does he want to be?  He knows he doesn’t want to be like Brock Lesnar.  But we all know who the real champion is, love him or hate him, Roman deserves that title.  He wants to be a fighting champion, and here comes Finn Balor.  More french, but you know Seth, you’re right.  That was a long flight from Saudi Arabia, a lot of time to check the video and see how close Finn came to becoming Intercontinental Champion, but congratulations to Seth.  The way he sees it, they have had 4 singles matches, and both won 2 apiece.  So how about they fight for the title, tonight.  Seth tells Balor that he has a match this Sunday against The Miz, for the Intercontinental Championship, but he is a fighting champion, so he will have the fans decide.  They want to see it, so we have our match tonight.

AWESOME!!  But it’s not The Miz, it’s The Miztourage, they don’t want to see them fighting against each other, they want them to fight together.  They even have shirts.  Forget The Balor Club, forget The Shield, they would be The Four Horsemen of WWE.  They discuss things, and decide no.  So The Miztourage fight with them, Balor and Rollins take over.  But Balor hits Sling Blade, from behind on Rollins to send him a message, he is still here.

Tonight:  6-Man Tag Team Match

Tonight:  Tripping Worldwide

Next:  Sasha Banks Vs Ruby Riott

Backstage Interview:  Sasha Banks

Charly is with Sasha, she has not talked to Bayley, but their friendship will be tested through time.  Bayley is okay with Riott Squad trying to run things on Raw, but Banks is not.  So they will fight, and Ruby can bank on that.

Match Number 3:  Sasha Banks Vs Ruby Riott

A good match between the two women, Sasha had things going her way.  She took out Liv Morgan, but she turned her back for a second, and allowed Ruby to get her breath back.  Sarah grabbed Sasha’s knee, and Ruby nails a kick for the win.  Sadly, no Bayley.

Winner:  Ruby Riott, by pinfall

Next:  Tripping Worldwide

Video:  Moment Of Bliss

Nia Jax bullied Alexa at Disney World.  She turned the happiest place on earth, into the saddest day ever.  But at Backlash, she will win her Raw Women’s Championship.  This is for anyone who has been bullied, and at the end, she will not let the bully win.

Tonight:  Balor Vs Rollins, IC Title Match

Backstage Interview:  Titus O’Neil

We see the clip of Titus tripping into the mat, sliding right into the ring.  Titus failed, plain and simple.  But not many people fail in front of the entire world.  What is important, you get right back up.  Baron Corbin shows up, you know what would be more important and inspirational?  If you hadn’t fallen in the first place.  Why are you wasting your time?

Video:  The Deleter of Worlds

Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy were there at the beginning, even walked the moon.  Bray shows up now, we are the darkness, and the light.  And this shall continue, so behold, The Deleters of the World….RUN!!

Last Monday:  10-Woman Tag Match

Tonight:  Mickie James Vs Natalya

Next:  6-Man Tag Match

Match Number 4: Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, and Roman Reigns Vs Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jinder Mahal

This was a fun match, in part because of the awesome crowd.  Strowman, Lashley, and Reigns win the match after Strowman lays a Powerslam on Owens, spoiling his night.

Winners:  Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, and Roman reigns, by pinfall

Tonight:  Rollins Vs Balor

Next:  Baron Corbin Vs No Way Jose

Video:  Greatest Royal Rumble

In-Ring Promo:  Baron Corbin

A wise man once said to make money, you can’t be funny.  It doesn’t matter to him, it doesn’t matter to half the locker room.  You saw the clip, Titus O’Neil made a mark for himself this weekend by tripping on his way to the ring, not winning the Rumble.  And his opponent isn’t any better.  Baron is here to make money, and win championships, not to make any of you laugh.

Match Number 5:  Baron Corbin Vs No Way Jose

Titus O’Neil shows up during this match, when Corbin had things going for him, and Titus gives us another moment, tripping on the ring ropes.  Baron actually laughs, but Jose rolls up Corbin for the win.

Winner:  No Way Jose, by pinfall

Next:  Natalya vs Mickie James

Backlash Official Theme Song:  “Champion” by Barns Courtney

Match Number 6:  Mickie James Vs Natalya

Ronda Rousey accompanied Natalya, and Alexa Bliss accompanied Mickie.  Alexa got on the apron, but Ronda counters her, and Natalya was able to roll up Mickie for the win.  Nia Jax comes to ringside to chase Alexa off, and she came to the room, sized up Ronda, but held the arm up of Natalya.  Future match?  I think so.

Winner:  Natalya, by pinfall

Next:  Rollins Vs Balor

Selfie Promo:  Ziggler and McIntyre

There is a reason why Drew speaks, you don’t hear much from anyone else, because when Drew speaks, he speaks the truth, and he is real.  And when you have two athletes like he and Ziggler, well Ziggler tells the other superstars to find another path, maybe even run to Smackdown.  Because they aren’t here to steal the show, they are here to just take it.

Match Number 7:  Seth Rollins (WWE IC Champ) Vs Finn Balor, for the Intercontinental Championship

What a match to close the show.  Back and forth action throughout the match, the finish comes when the champ nails a Curb Stomp, after 2 other attempts.  They had many near falls, and I thought this would continue, but Finn does not answer the count, and Rollins keeps his title.  This Sunday, we will see Rollins Vs The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship.  The show ends with Seth celebrating.

Winner, and STILL Intercontinental Champion:  Seth Rollins, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This was one of the better shows during the entire year, and it was in part because of the awesome Montreal crowd.  I have a tremendous amount of respect for these men and women who travel, for so many hours, just to entertain us.  Seth said it all, they went from New Orleans to South Africa, to St. Louis, to Saudi Arabia, to Montreal in less than a month.  Some good things happened, I loved the reaction Kevin and Sami received, and they ate up every second.  I also think it’s time Roman turns heel, especially if he loses to Joe at Backlash, which could happen.  Let me put it like this, Big Dog said Brock is a part-timer, yet he loses at Mania.  He guarantees a victory last Friday, he lost.  Where do you go from there with him?  It’s time to hit the reset button on him, then in a few years, people can get behind a babyface Roman Reigns.  This would also add some fresh, new matches with a heel Reigns.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Sound off here
