In-Ring Promo:  The Miz

Welcome to the most-see WWE talk show in WWE history, welcome to Miz TV.  Miz has come back, and now Smackdown Live is once again The A-Show, but there is something missing.  A title, the title that he has held 8 times, the title that he has made prestigious, and the title he will win back this Friday at Greatest Royal Rumble, he will defeat Seth Rollins, he will defeat Finn Balor, he will defeat Samoa Joe, to become the 9-time Intercontinental Champion.  But that is 3 days from now, he wants to bring in his guest.  They have had some words a while back, even when Talking Smack had a show.  And Daniel wants a shot at The Miz, so much so that he begged for The Miz to come to Smackdown Live, so he can punch him in the face.  He’s surprised, because a little over a month ago, The Miz has become a father for the first time.  And when he held her in his arms, that hatred for Daniel Bryan changed.  Daniel is a father, they are both reality TV shows.  They both are technical wrestlers, Miz guesses he doesn’t have that same bond with Birdie, as The Miz has with Monroe, but you know what Daniel, come on out, and punch him in his face.  Just come on out, and do it.  We don’t see Daniel, Big Cass makes his way to the ring.

The Miz asks if he can help Cass, and Cass says he has a guest now, so interview Big Cass.  Miz was supposed to interview Daniel Bryan, but nobody cares about Daniel.  He had a career injury, nobody thought he would be here, but Cass recovered from an ACL, and was out for 7 months.  Nobody cared, and the same day he returns, Daniel Bryan says he has been cleared.  Daniel Bryan is just an ordinary man, and The Miz says he doesn’t need Big Cass’ help, and Big Cass tells him not everything is about The Miz.  Miz tells him who does he think he is, this is a what have you done lately world, and all Cass has done is hobble around.  Cass gets into Miz’s face, and says he will put his boot on his face.  Miz says okay, they aren’t Daniel Bryan.  Cass talks about Daniel should be his garbage man, and instead of showing up on Tuesday to pick up his garbage, he is on TV.  Daniel talks about “Reach for the stars”, well he used to be Daniel Bryan.  Cass was picked on by kids in school, even at the age of 16.  But he grew up to be 7 feet tall, and he fought those kids, and will do whatever it takes to make a mark.  Cass is 7 feet tall, he never competed in bingo halls, never in the indies, never went to Japan, because he doesn’t need to, and he’s damn good-looking.  So Cass will take Daniel out, and put him back into retirement, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Tonight:  Contract Signing for Charlotte Vs Carmella

Next:  Becky Lynch and Asuka in Tag Action

We see Daniel Bryan laid out in the back.

In-Ring Promos:  The IIconics

Becky Lynch and Asuka got into their business, but wait a second, Charlotte Flair ended Asuka’s streak, and they helped end Charlotte Flair’s title reign, that means they are better than Asuka.  They are the future, and the future is now.

Match Number 1:  Becky Lynch and Asuka Vs The IIconics

Billie and Peyton pull off an upset win in their first Smackdown Live match.  They use team work to their advantage, rams Becky into Asuka, and Billie nails Becky into the ring ropes, and covers her for the pin fall.

Winners:  The IIconics, by pinfall

Backstage Segment:  AJ Styles

Renee Young is at Shane McMahon’s office door, we will get an update on Daniel later tonight.  But AJ shows up, very happy because Shane gave him a workout match tonight, with Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev Day against AJ and 2 partners in a 6-man tag match.  And his partners are TOO SWEET.

Tonight:  Contract Signing

Backstage Segment:  Naomi and Jimmy Uso

Naomi has a bad feeling over Jimmy’s match tonight, and Jimmy said don’t worry, he will take care of business tonight, and take back the SD Live Tag team Titles this Friday.

Match Number 2:  Erik Rowan (SD Live Tag Team Champ) Vs Jimmy Uso

With Naomi’s help to distract Rowan, Uso picks up the win with a roll up, setting up the pin fall.

Winner:  Jimmy Uso, by pinfall

Tonight:  6-Man Tag Match

Next:  Contract Signing

In-Ring Promo:  Charlotte Flair and Carmella In A Contract Signing

Carmella is upset at Renee Young for announcing Carmella before Charlotte.  She is our champion, we are booing her because nobody will ever know what it’s like being a champion, like Carmella.  Last week, she gave us the world a Mellabration, but when it was over, nobody gave her a standing ovation.  The disrespect, so she will play that same highlight reel again.  Except when it’s over, everyone will stand on their feet giving her the ovation she deserve.

There are people standing up.  But that is not good enough, so she will play it again, and this time when it’s over, we stand up and cheer.  Play it again, and we see it again.

But Charlotte interrupts this time.  Carmella shows her the title.  She does the Ric Flair strut, and Renee tells her to be professional, and take the seat,  Charlotte signs her portion, and gives her a WOOOOOO, slams Carmella’s head into the table, and flips it over, walks away.

Backstage Interview:  Shinsuke Nakamura

Dasha wants a word from Shinsuke, but Aidan English answers, and says no interviews.

Next:  Jeff Hardy Vs Shelton Benjamin

Match Number 3:  Randy Orton Vs Shelton Benjamin

Jeff Hardy was coming out, but Orton shows up instead, so here we go.  Orton had things going his way, but a masked guy clips Hardy in the knee, Orton finds the guy, it’s Samar.  He is met with a RKO.  Benjamin nails Orton with Paydirt, and wins.

Winner:  Shelton Benjamin, by pinfall

Backstage Segment:  The New Day

The Bar shows up to interrupt the party, saying they will win back their Raw Tag Titles (They lost them?), and go back to Raw.  They take the pancakes too.

Backstage Segment:  The Club Reunites

Backstage Interview Daniel Bryan

The doctors are taking caution right now, but he will face Big Cass at Backlash.  He promises Cass he will tap out.

Backstage Promo:  Samoa Joe

Joe is ready for this Friday, the Intercontinental Title is Joe’s.  It’s just a formality, then he will watch Brock Lesnar destroy Roman Reigns, yet again.

Match Number 4:  AJ Styles (WWE Champ) and The Good Brothers Vs Shinsuke Nakamurs and Rusev Day in a 6-man tag match

Shinsuke and his new friends pick up the win, when Nakamura nails Kinsasha on Gallows, and pins him.  AJ starts to fight him, but Shinsuke nails his fist in the groin area again, and sets AJ up for a Kinsasha, but Anderson takes the bullet for him.  Then the show ends with Shinsuke, right in front of AJ lays Anderson with another Kinsasha, setting up their title match this Friday.

Winners:  Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev Day, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This was a good show, setting up the major feuds for this Friday, and Backlash.  We had a very good tag team main event, and a program set up for Big Cass Vs Daniel, while keeping The Miz Vs Bryan, hopefully this summer.

i will be here for this Friday afternoon for The Greatest Royal Rumble, I won’t be here for the kick-off show.  So I will see you here at noon.  What were your thoughts of the show?  Send them to me here.
