In-Ring Promo:  Charlotte Flair

Dasha Fuentes is interviewing in the ring, and welcomes Ruby Riott into the ring too.  This Sunday, these two lock up.  Ruby cuts off Dasha.  This all began on November 14th, 2017, when Charlotte Flair became the Smackdown Women’s Champion.  All her life, Charlotte has been setup for success.  She is tall, beautiful, blonde, athletic, she is Ric Flair’s daughter.  On November 14th, she became the first woman to win NXT, Raw, and Smackdown Women’s Championship.  On November 14th, she became the personification of what a woman is supposed to act.  And that is why 2 weeks after she won the title, Ruby formed The Riott Squad, for one sole purpose, to destroy the myth.  The only myth that is about Charlotte is she has been handing everything.  Because of who she is.  Charlotte has the weight on all of her shoulders.  And do you know what it’s like to reflect to?  It means her entire family is affected when she fails.  She doesn’t just have to be good, she has to be transcendent.  And because she has accomplished everything Ruby proves she has transcended any myth about Charlotte.  And the reality is she is standing right here, and she is just as good as she has heard.  Ruby said whether you were handed everything, or you earned it, everything will be crashing down this Sunday, and you will be nothing but a beach blonde Bimbo, after she gets her hands on her, with a famous last name.  Ruby signals for The Riott Squad, and here they come.  Charlotte is ready for a fight, but….

GLORIOUS!!

Bobby Roode comes out to aid her friend from Mix Match Challenge, and stop the fighting.

Next:  Randy Orton Vs Jinder Mahal

Match Number 1:  Randy Orton Vs Jinder Mahal

Bobby Roode was in for commentary, and Orton used him as a human shield, shoving Jinder right into Roode.  The US Champ was livid about this, and went to the ring apron to tell Randy they can settle this on Sunday, not tonight.  Jinder shoves Randy into Bobby, and nails Khallas for the pinfall.

Winner:  Jinder Mahal, by pinfall

Backstage Segment:  Sami and Kevin

Sami thanks Kevin for everything he has given him, and Kevin brings up the comment he made a few weeks ago, about lying down for Kevin.  Sami confirms he said it, Kevin is just 1 win away from becoming a Grand Slam champion in WWE.  He is proud of everything Kevin had done, and when Kevin wins the WWE Championship, he will be proud of him.  They hug each other, what a moment!!

Tonight:  AJ Styles Vs Dolph Ziggler

Selfie Promo:  Baron Corbin

Baron can’t wait to get his hands on John Cena, after John beat him for Money in the Bank.  He is ready this Sunday to become WWE Championship.

Video:  The Usos Vs The New Day

Backstage Promo:  Shinsuke Nakamura

Dasha is with us, asking Shinsuke if he is concerned his dream match at Wrestlemania against AJ Styles is in jeopardy, with the 6-Pack Challenge?  Yes, but he hopes AJ wins, then he can win at Wrestlemania and take the WWE Championship.  Rusev and Aidan English shows up, Shinsuke broke Aidan’s voice box, and now he can’t sing Rusev’s Day.  So he challenges Shinsuke to a match at Fastlane, for revenge over Aidan’s voice box.  Nakamura accepts the challenge, but when he beats Rusev, it will be Nakamura Day.  Rusev says you can’t make up your own holiday.  Now that was funny.

Match Number 2:  Becky Lynch Vs Carmella

Becky made Carmella tap to the Disharmer for the win.

Winner:  Becky Lynch

Backstage Segment:  Natalya and Naomi

Natalya said Becky was just lucky tonight, Carmella had the flu this weekend.  She warns Naomi she needs to stay away from Becky, or else you can be burnt.  Naomi asks what friends does she have, Carmella is a good friend.  Naomi challenges Natalya and Carmella Vs Becky and Naomi this Sunday, at Fastlane.

Next:  AJ Styles

In-Ring Promo:  AJ Styles

You know, it wasn’t long ago I only cared for one person.  But after winning the WWE Championship for the second time, he sees things differently.  He is the WWE Champion, but here is the thing, it’s a grind to get here.  But he thinks about when he was somewhere else, trying to get here, and the grind to get here.  And that leads to Fastlane, he is in a 6-Pack Challenge, where he doesn’t have to be pinned to lose his championship.  Some may say it’s not even fair, the hell with fair.  AJ is going to fight.  That’s what I do, that is who I am.  This is Smackdown Live, the house that AJ Styles built.  The thing is no matter how hard we try, sometimes we don’t win.  Last week, John Cena pinned me clean right here in the middle of this ring.  John Cena is world-class, he gets it.  Not that he isn’t a man of many words, check out what Cena had to say this past Monday.

You see, John is not the only one who to win to pave this road to Wrestlemania.  And yes, he did say when he loses, he can have his rematch at Wrestlemania.  Well, John that is not what I want, and correct me if I am wrong WWE Universe, that is not what you want either.  AJ wants his Wrestlemania moment, defending the most prestigious championship in the history of this business, against the best, and he deserves to be called the best, and he’s talking about Shinsuke Nakamura.  So he isn’t just fighting for himself, he is fighting for us.  And trust me when I say that match will be phenomenal.

Dolph Ziggler shows up, what happened to AJ?  He used to be cool, this used to be “The House AJ Styles built”, you have changed.  You’re not even phenomenal anymore.  AJ isn’t phenomenal anymore?  This coming from the man who has been in WWE for 13 years and still hasn’t reached his full potential?  Ziggler said AJ is a guy who spent over a decade trying to get to WWE, coming to the house Ziggler built.  Dolph is a fan, and he is here to tell AJ this Sunday, he will lose.  It’s not the numbers, it’s not the 5 men, it’s because AJ is not the same man anymore.  He said he will do it for these people.  Let me tell you about these people, they will turn on you in a second just like that.  Let me say this, he was told blankly that he will never win a championship, and somehow every road block that was in his way, he kicked it down.  Every rug that was in his way, he found a way to win Money in the Bank briefcase, and he cashed it in and the fans ate it up.  But here is the truth, they didn’t deserve it.  All they did was sat on their couch.  Ziggler proves every single night he is the best, and it’s a crime that Dolph doesn’t even have one singles match at Wrestlemania.  So you talk about dreams, as far as your dreams go, you can shove it. AJ Suggests since they are out here, how about they have a match now.

Match Number 3:  AJ Styles (WWE Champ) Vs Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match

The match ends in a no contest after Kevin and Sami beat down both men, and we see AJ and Dolph fighting back, sending Kevin and Sami to the outside.

HERE COMES THE MONEY!!  HERE COMES THE MONEY!!

Shane McMahon shows up, he orders a tag team match now, with a Fatal 5-Way match

Winner:  No Contest

Match Number 4:  AJ Styles (C) Vs Baron Corbin vs Sami Zayn Vs Dolph Ziggler Vs Kevin Owens in a Fatal 5-Way

This was a fantastic match, with AJ saving every pin he could.  The story here is AJ will have to stop every single pin to keep his title alive.  The end though is when everyone was thrown through the ropes, Sami gives Owens a Helluva Kick for the win.  He reminds everyone that it’s every man for himself, with KO beside himself.

Winner:  Sami Zayn, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This show centered around Fastlane, and everything fit that theme.  While we might say Fastlane is based around one match, I disagree.  It’s about the quest for Wrestlemania.  Every single winner is in line to make it to Wrestlemania.  Looking forward to seeing Orton vs Roode, and the Tag Team Title match too.  And the fact Rusev has a PPV match is good too.  Fastlane is this Sunday, I will see you then.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Send them to me here.
