Tonight:  Shane McMahon’s Wrestlemania Announcement

In-Ring Promo:  AJ Styles

Welcome to the House that AJ Styles built.  At Fastlane, the odds were stacked against him.  And when John Cena put AJ Styles through the announce table, even he thought the odds were against him.  How can AJ get right back up, against 5 other superstars?  AJ’s parents used to tell him to suck it up, and he did just that, he is still the WWE Champion.  And better that, he is going to Wrestlemania.  For many years, the thought of AJ Styles coming to the WWE was unbelievable.  The thought that AJ Styles going to Wrestlemania was unbelievable, and the thought he was the WWE Champion was unbelievable, but not impossible.  His road to New Orleans has been tough.  The fans say he deserve it, but AJ corrected them and said he earned it.  And his opponent is the best Japanese performer in the world too.  They want it, and the fans deserve it.  And they have had some similarities, but the WWE Championship stops the similarities right there.  If people want to call him the everyday man, he is good with that.  But that stops when he gets into this ring.  Because he is phenomenal.

Here comes Shinsuke Nakamura.  AJ, you’re the champion.  Everyone likes you, but everyone likes him too.  Nakamura respects AJ.  At Wrestlemania, dreams come true.  His dreams, beat you in this ring, and Shinsuke becomes champion.  Here comes Rusev.

Match Number 1:  AJ Styles (WWE Champ) Vs Rusev in a non-title match

The match ends in a DQ, when Aidan English tries to go right after AJ, and here comes Shinsuke, just here to stopped him.

Winner:  AJ Styles, by DQ

Last Sunday:  New Day, Usos, and Bludgeon Brothers

Backstage Interview:  Big E and Jey Uso

Dasha interviews Big, talking about what happened this past Sunday.  He is the last one standing from New Day.  Jimmy Uso steps in, saying he is the last one standing for The Usos.  Together, they fight The Bludgeon Brothers, tonight.

Tonight:  Bobby Roode Vs Jinder Mahal

Backstage Segment:  AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura

AJ tells Shinsuke he didn’t need help earlier tonight, and Shinsuke disagrees.  He tells AJ that if he needs help up until Wrestlemania, because he doesn’t want any excuses when he beats AJ at Mania.

Match Number 2:  Jimmy Uso (SD Live Tag Team Champ) and Big E Vs The Bludgeon Brothers

Jimmy and Big E were ready, attacking the Brothers Bludgeon before the bell rings, but The Bludgeon Brothers took over, and didn’t let it go.  They win with the Double Choke Bomb, pinning Jimmy.  After the match, Harper gives Big E a splash too, for good measure.

Winners:  The Bludgeon Brothers, by pinfall

Video:  Fastlane

Backstage Interview:  Sami Zayn

Renee Young asks Sami who he blames for Sunday’s match when he didn’t win the WWE Championship.  Sami says he should be blaming it on Shane, but the man he truly blames is Kevin Owens.  Kevin is so obsessed with Shane, that Shane came out to make sure he does not win the match, and Sami is guilty by association.  Now Kevin is a funny guy, he has been friends of his for so many years, but he allowed that friendship to take over, and get the best of Sami.  That won’t happen again.

Wrestlemania 34 is in 26 days

In-Ring Promo:  Charlotte Flair and Asuka

When you’re a champion in this business, you know you always have a target on your back.  So Charlotte was not surprised when Asuka came out, and she knew why.  Charlotte was excited about facing Asuka.  So before they meet, she wanted to talk to Asuka, woman to woman.

Welcome to Smackdown Live, and they say be careful what you wish for.  Thank you says Asuka.  Charlotte has defended her title all over the world, and people keep saying two thing.  1.  Congratulations Charlotte on your win, and 2.  What would happen if you face Asuka.  “The Queen” Vs The Empress, who can come out on top?  We are going to find out.  When Charlotte watched Asuka win the women’s Royal Rumble match, she hoped Asuka would choose Charlotte, and when she heard her music, she had goosebumps.  She knows that she hasn’t faced anyone like Asuka, but then again Asuka hasn’t faced anyone like Charlotte.  So Asuka, be careful what you wish for, because Charlotte will end the streak, and cement her legacy….WOOOOOO!!

Asuka choose Charlotte because she is the best.  She is the queen, and Asuka is the empress.  But Asuka bows down to no one.  And nobody is ready for Asuka.

Randy Orton is heading to the ring, the new United States Champion.

Tonight:  Shane McMahon’s Wrestlemania Announcement

Next:  Bobby Roode Vs Jinder Mahal

In-Ring promo:  Randy Orton

Randy has been called many different things over his career.  Some are good, some are not so good, but there is one thing he has never been called before, until now….United States Champion.  Orton is now joining a list of elite athletes being called Grand Slam Champions.  That is a list he cares about.  Bobby Roode earned Orton his respect this past Sunday, but this title is his.  And this title isn’t going anywhere, and hit’s going to Wrestlemania.

GLORIOUS!!  Bobby Roode comes out to the ring.  Congratulations Randy, you got me.  But you see, Roode has a rematch.  And that rematch will take place at the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania.  And when he retains that championship, it will be absolutely GLORIOUS!!  Jinder Mahal comes out now, he wants to congratulate Randy Orton.  Randy has finally accomplished winning the United States Title.  But Bobby Roode has had a cup of coffee in WWE, and he already won the United States Title, and there is nothing Randy can do about it.  Jinder beat Randy last week, and take a seat Randy, and watch Jinder beat Bobby Roode.

Match Number 3:  Bobby Roode Vs Jinder Mahal

Roode had things going, but one of the Singh Brothers distracted Roode, and Jinder nails a Khallas for the win.  After the match, Orton runs to the ring for a RKO.

Winner:  Jinder Mahal, by pinfall

Tonight:  Shane McMahon’s Wrestlemania Announcement

Backstage Interview:  Kevin Owens

Renee catches up to Kevin Owens.  She wants his reaction for Kevin being the one to blame for Sunday;s loss.  Owens says it’s Shane’s fault, if he wasn’t so selfish, he would have understood everyone got screwed, including himself.  Kevin got screwed by Shane first, so he should be the rightful WWE Champion, not Sami, because if Kevin had won, Sami would have never been close to being the Champion.  And how about that stunt Sami pulled, pretending to lay down for Kevin, only to double cross him, because deep down, Sami knows he can’t beat him.  And why was Shane out there anyway?  He is a McMahon, and they all need the spotlight, and not the people who work for them.  If Sami can’t see this, then he has no problem teaching Sami a lesson to open your eyes up to the truth.

Wrestlemania 34:  The Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal

Match Number 4:  Naomi Vs Carmella

“Ms. Money in the Bank” picks up the win, slamming Naomi’s head on the canvas and pinning her.  Carmella will be busy at Wrestlemania, competing in the first ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal.

Winner:  Carmella, by pinfall

Next:  Shane McMahon

In-Ring Promo:  Shane McMahon

What’s up Indianapolis?  It’s no secret, over the last several months, Shane has had moments with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.  He’s not going to apologize, but Kevin started this by putting his hands on his father.  Now grant it, his father isn’t a sympathetic figure.  But if Kevin Owens put his hands on your father, what would you do?  Now, he thought he was going to get some revenge on Kevin inside Hell in a Cell.  And just when he thinks he is going to win, Sami Zayn interrupted that.  He has had numerous conversations with Smackdown Live’s General Manager, Daniel Bryan, who will be here next week.  And he will go at it alone, because effective immediately, Shane is being indefinite leave of absence.  But on his final ruling, at Wrestlemania, it will be Kevin Owens Vs Sami Zayn.

Kevin shows up, and says if he wants to beat up Sami Zayn, he can do that anytime.  But one decision he agrees with is Shane finally leaving.  Here comes Sami Zayn, who says the one thing he wanted to do is make sure he and Kevin were fighting among each other, because it;s always been about Shane.  But Shane says they should be happy, because they have the opportunity to face each other on the biggest stage of the world, and Kevin tells Shane to watch this.  Sami turns on Shane, and even when Shane is fighting back, Sami and Kevin knock him down.  Sami with the Helluva Kick.  Owens with the Pop Up Powerbomb.  They slams Shane’s head into the ring post, and drag him to the back, and Owens finishes this up with a Pop-Up Powerbomb on some racks.  Shane looks to hurt his neck, and we see officials tending to him when the show ends.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

The matches does not matter tonight, though I did like The Bludgeon Brothers Vs Big E and Jimmy Uso.  But the highlights here were the key matches for Mania.  AJ and Shinsuke had a nice moment, as did Charlotte and Asuka.  But the ending segment was a nice touch too.  You have to winder if Shane is coming back as an in-ring performer, and his partner is none other than Daniel Bryan.  Something to think about, and perhaps we will see more of it next week.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Let me know here.
