Tonight:  A Battle Of The Sexes

Tonight:  Tag Team Championship

Tonight:  WWE Championship

In-Ring Promo:  Shane McMahon

What’s up Manchester?  Make no mistake about it, at Survivor Series, Raw will find out Smackdown Live isn’t a B-Show, it is THE show.  Shane holds Kurt Angle and his sister Stephanie responsible for what happened last week, and he will seek out vengeance at Survivor Series, because he is on the side facing Kurt.  Daniel represents the fighting spirit of Smackdown Live.  Daniel will be back next week, because he is a fighter.  Now Shane is bringing out a team who made a mark last night on Raw.  He’s talking about The New Day.

Kofi tells Shane it was not their intention to have Dean and Seth lose their Tag Team Titles last night, but that was part of being Under Siege, BAAAABAAYYY.  Xavier asks what will they do?  Nothing.  A couple of weeks ago, they were leading the charge, they looked Raw roster in the eye, and beat them down.  There were there on a limb, they will take the repercussions.  Shane loves this leadership, they were at Manchester, and took it among themselves to lead.  Because New Day Rocks!!

And here comes Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.  They are not impressed with this, they could have went to Raw and beat up the roster too, but what is the point?  Shane tells Sami that is the very reason why neither of them are a part of Team Smackdown.  Sami said they have had qualifying matches, Sami didn’t lose to Randy Orton, he lost to a low blow.  And Shane did nothing about it.  If Sami or Kevin had done that, they would be suspended, or fired.  New Day gets into it with Owens and Sami.  Sami tells them he can’t wait until they lose to Team Raw, in part because of Shane McMahon.  Shane tells Sami he is in action against Kofi Kingston, next.

Match Number 1:  Sami Zayn Vs Kofi Kingston

Kofi picks up the win with a Cross Body to pin Sami.  Kevin attacks Kevin, but New Day counters that.

Winner:  Kofi Kingston, by pinfall

Last Tuesday:  Styles Vs Mahal

Backstage Interview:  Jinder Mahal

Renee Young asks Jinder about his plans for tonight’s title match, after preparing for Brock Lesnar.  Jinder looks at AJ as an appetizer, and Brock as his main course.  After all, as great as AJ is, he isn’t “The Modern Day Maharaja”.

Tonight:  The Battle of the Sexes

Next:  Orton Vs Rusev, if Rusev wins, he joins Team Smackdown

Video:  The Bludgeon Brothers

In-Ring Concert:  Aidan English

Match Number 2:  Randy Orton Vs Rusev

Rusev isn’t going to Survivor Series, RKO outta nowhere, after Rusev turned his back to Orton.  Usually not a good idea.

Winner:  Randy Orton, by pinfall

Tonight:  WWE Championship Match

Backstage Segment:  Becky Lynch and Ellsworth

Ellsworth asks for Carmella, and he gets Becky instead.  Ellsworth tells Becky that she doesn’t belong in the ring, if Team Raw comes out, Becky will just hide behind James, because he is a MAN.  Becky tells him that is some balls to even say anything, too bad Ellsworth doesn’t have any.

Video:  Smackdown Vs Raw Under Siege

Match Number 3:  Becky Lynch Vs Ellsworth in a Battle of Sexes Match

James was great in this match as the comedic fodder, but at the end of the day, Becky made James tap out to the Disarmer.  After the match, Carmella starts jawing with Becky, but then nails a Superkick on Ellsworth, and walks away.

Winner:  Becky Lynch, by submission

Tonight:  WWE Championship

Next:  Tag Team Championship

Backstage Segment:  Shane, Charlotte, and Natalya

Natalya knows what Shane wants, and she accepts.  She will defeat Raw’s Alexa Bliss, and then will take Charlotte’s spot in the Survivor Series match.  Shane says that is not what he wants.  Natalya escaped her title match at Hell in a Cell with a chair.  He and Daniel Bryan feels that is unacceptable.  So next week, Natalya will defend her title against Charlotte, and the winner will face Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series.

Match Number 4:  The Usos (SD Live Tag Champs) Vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, for the SD Live Tag Team Championship

The challengers win the match by countout, when Chad Gable took out Jey Uso’s knee.  They win the match, but The Usos keep the titles.

Winners:  Gable and Benjamin, by countout, The Usos retain Titles

Video:  Luke Harper on Damnation

Backstage Interview:  AJ Styles

Renee Young is with the Number One Contender, AJ has been doing this, and proving people wrong his entire life.  He knows what he has to do, and will do whatever it takes to win the WWE Championship.  He will prove that Smackdown Live is the house AJ Styles built.  And at Survivor Series, he will go on to be “The Beastmaster” and take out Brock Lesnar.

Next Week:  Sin Cara Vs Baron Corbin, US Title Match

Next Week:  Charlotte Flair Vs Natalya, Women’s Title Match

Next Week:  New Day Vs Owens and Zayn

Match Number 5:  Jinder Mahal (WWE Champ) Vs AJ Styles for the WWE Championship

AJ Styles made history, winning the WWE Championship with a Phenomenal Forearm.  This is the first time the WWE Championship changed hands outside the United States. A good match here between the two men, and Styles took out The Singh Brothers early in the match, Jinder had nailed Khallas, but AJ had his foot on the ropes, and there was a bit of a moment so AJ can give Jinder his signature move.  Jinder decks both Singh Brothers, and he is irate over what just happened.  At Survivor Series, it will be AJ Styles Vs Brock Lesnar.  We end the show with AJ celebrating the win.

Winner, and NEW WWE Champion:  AJ Styles, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

WWE did the right thing here in switching up the card, giving us Lesnar Vs Styles.  Now it makes me think we will see a few more title changes next week on Smackdown Live.  Overall, this was a good show, with the exception of the Tag Team Title match.  It was just very short, and the ending seemed to be a bit disappointing.  Next week, Raw will be in Atlanta, and Smackdown Live will be in Charlotte.  The go-home shows before the PPV.  I expect to see Raw do an Under Siege.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Send them out to me.
