Match Number 1:  Kassius Ohno Vs Lars Sullivan

This was more or less a squash match, though Ohno did get some offense, and even put the big man down for the first time in NXT.  But Sullivan picked Ohno up for a Freak Accident to pick up the win.

Winner:  Lars Sullivan, by pinfall

Team UK is in the house

Backstage Segment:  Undisputed Era

William Regal shows up to go over rules with Undisputed Era.

Match Number 2:  Aleister Black Vs Velveteen Dream

What a match this was, Velveteen Dream was channeling “Ravishing” Rick Rude, with tights that had Black and Dream on each sides of the back.  And he even gyrate like Rude did, nailed a Superkick, but Dream was stuck in the ropes, and Black nails Black Mask for the win.  Velveteen wanted Aleister to say his name, and at the end, Black said enjoy infantry, Velveteen Dream.  He got his wish.

Winner:  Alesiter Black, by pinfall

Backstage Segment:  SaNiTy

SaNiTy are doing their thing in the back, and Regal shows up to explain the rules.

Match Number 3:  Ember Moon Vs Nikki Cross Vs Kairi Sane Vs Peyton Royce in a Fatal 4-Way Match To Determine New Women’s Championship

All 4 women fought hard to make this special, and the hometown woman Ember Moon picks up the win, and the NXT Women’s Championship with The Eclipse, pinning Nikki Cross, right before Peyton was going to hit the Stunner from Down Under.  William Regal hands Ember the new Women’s Championship.  Asuka, who they showed earlier hands Ember the title.

Winner, and NEW NXT Women’s Champion:  Ember Moon, by pinfall

January 28th:  NXT Takeover In Philly

Backstage Segment:  Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong

William Regal explains the rules for tonight’s match.

Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe is in the house

Match Number 4:  Drew McIntyre (NXT Champ) Vs Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Championship

In a shocking twist of events, Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Drew McIntyre with the DDT Driver, off the top rope.  Zelina Vega promised to take Almas to the promise land, and she did.  Almas is now the 12th NXT Champion.

Winner, and NEW NXT Champion:  Andrade “Cien” Almas, by pinfall

Match Number 5:  Undisputed Era Vs SAniTy (NXT Tag Champs) Vs Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong in WarGames Match

Eric Young, Adam Cole, and Roderick Strong start the match for all 3 teams.  There is no top to the cage too, it’s the standard cage, to fit 2 rings.  Bobby Fish and Kyle O’ Reilly are in now for Undisputed Era, gaining the advantage.  Authors of Pain are now in the match.  SAniTy are now in the ring, so Wargames officially begin.  Well, we had tables, kendo sticks, suplexes, chairs, and everything else in between.  The Undisputed Era wins WarGames, when Adam Cole nails a Shining Wizard on Eric Young through a chair.  Eric tried to use the chair, but fatigue took over.  Killian Dane was the star though.  A man his size pulls off Coast to Coast on O’ Reilly, off the top rope.  Just incredible, all 9 men worked so hard for this match, and they delivered.

Winners:  The Undisputed Era, by Pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

I think the night started slow, not very high on Lars Sullivan right now, but the rest of the night earned its keep.  Dream Vs Black had no right to be good, yet it did.  The women did their job to showcase their abilities, and the Championship result was a shock.  But the night belonged to WarGames.  They went long here, about 35 minutes, roughly.  I expect Cole to get the title shot in Philly, but will it be in a triple threat, perhaps?  They set the bar for Survivor Series tomorrow night.  Will they answer it?  Share your thoughts with me, what was the best part of the night?  I will talk to you tomorrow night for Survivor Series.

Backstage Interview:  Peyton Royce

She is stoked for tonight’s title match.  Ember Moon is not Iconic, neither is Nikki Cross, and Kairi Sane is a pirate, but not Iconic.  Peyton Royce is.

Kayla Braxton is outside the Toyota Center.  The crowd is electric.

There are 2 rings tonight, for WarGames.

Mauro Ranallo, Percy Watson, and Nigel McGuiness are previewing tonight’s card.

The rules are 1 member of each team starts, and wrestled for 5 minutes.  After that is up, the final 2 members of one team enters.  Then every 3 minutes, the other 2 members enter, then the next 3 minutes, the final 2 members begin.  The only way to win is to pin or submit, after all 3 teams are in the cage.  If you escape through the cage, your team forfeits the match.
