If you missed this past week’s Smackdown Live, click here WWE Smackdown Live 10/3/17 Full Results (5 Days From Hell)

Match Number 1:  New Day (SD Live Tag Champs) Vs The Usos for the SD Tag Team Titles inside Hell in a Cell

A fantastic match to begin, The Usos are now 5-time Tag Team Champions with a double splash, slamming on chairs, pinning Woods.  We seen a vicious side of New Day, using kendo sticks.  A great way to start tonight’s show.

Winners, and NEW SD Live Tag Team Champions:  The Usos, by pinfall

Backstage Interview:  AJ Styles

AJ isn’t happy about Ty Dillinger being added to the Triple Threat match, because he can lose his title without being pinned, but he loves the challenge.  And tonight, he will find a way to win, regardless.  And in the great words of the late, great Tom Petty.  You can stand him in the gates of hell, but he won’t back down.

Match Number 2:  Randy Orton Vs Rusev

This was a longer match than Summerslam match, but same result, Orton nailing a RKO out of nowhere.  Rusev Day will not happen anytime soon.

Winner:  Randy Orton,by pinfall

Earlier Tonight:  Daniel Bryan puts Dillinger in US Title Match

Match Number 3:  AJ Styles (US Champ) Vs Tye Dillinger Vs Baron Corbin for the United States Championship In A Triple Threat Match

Baron Corbin stole the United States Championship, when Styles nailed Dillinger with a Phenomenal Forearm, Corbin kicked AJ out of the ring, and pinned Tye for the win.

Winner, and NEW United States Champion:  Baron Corbin, by pinfall

Match Number 4:  Natalya (SD Live Women’s Champ) Vs Charlotte Flair for the SD Live Women’s Championship

Not much heat here for the fans, and a very cheap ending with Natalya getting DQ’d hitting Charlotte with chair shots on her knees.  Nattie retains her title though.

Winner:  Charlotte Flair, by DQ (Natalya retains her Women’s Title)

Video:  The Fashion Files:  Back 2 Basics

They solved the case of 2B, and we see The Ascension again, disguised, with a delivery.  It’s a poster of The Ascension, who want 2 B your friends.  It’s not them, they are ugly.  This hurt The Ascension’s feelings.  Someone delivers a case.  They need to open the case, but it’s a scene from Pulp Fiction with the case being gold.  It continues this Tuesday.

Match Number 5:  Jinder Mahal (WWE Champ) Vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship

Jinder retains his championship, even without The Singh Brothers, who was kicked out of ringside.  Nakamura nails a Kinshasa, but Jinder has his arm to the ropes.  Shinsuke tries it again, misses, and Jinder nails a Khallas for the win.

Winner, and STILL WWE Champion:  Jinder Mahal, by pinfall

Backstage Interview:  Kevin Owens

KO tells Dasha to step aside for a moment.  He puts over Hell in a Cell being the most destructive steel structure in WWE history.  We know that because the announcers tell us that every single time, but he is the most dangerous man, so it’s up his alley.  People want to talk about what Owens did to Shane’s family, but what about the things Shane did to his family, keeping food off the table of Kevin’s family to feed off his own ego.  But tonight, Owens gets that revenge, and will send Shane straight to hell.

Match Number 6:  Bobby Roode Vs Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler comes out to no music, which is hilarious, they have a match here.  People don’t care too much for it, with Roode winning holding the tights of Ziggler, rolling him up.  After the match, Ziggler nails a Zig Zag to have the final say.

Winner:  Bobby Roode, by pinfall

Match Number 7:  Shane McMahon Vs Kevin Owens in Hell in a Cell Match

Well, this was a great way to end the show.  Truly both men worked their asses off, and the ending sequence was so much fun.  Both men went on top of the cage, and fought for a good 5 minutes on there.  No incidents took place, Shane kicked Owens, and landed right through the table.  But Shane felt a bit cocky, he wanted to drop an elbow through another table, but Sami Zayn shows up out of nowhere, and moves Kevin Owens out-of-the-way, and sending Shane through a table.  Then to make sure this was no an accident by Sami, he puts Owens over Shane, and forces the referee to count the 1….2….3.  Kevin Owens is awarded the winner.  EMTs attend to Shane, and cart him away, with Shane giving the fans the thumbs up, and this ends the show.

Winner:  Kevin Owens, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

The beginning of the show started hot, but then the middle of the show sucked.  The main event lived up to its billing.  Both men were incredible, and now with Sami turning heel this can set up future programs down the road.  The one thing here though is how they treated “The Artist” Shinsuke Nakamura.  He surely does not deserve another title shot, and I guess Jinder may be champion when they go to India.  They just turned Shinsuke though into just another normal guy.  He had that mystique about him when he was undefeated.  This was supposed to be his moment, but instead, they kept the title on the guy who still gets no heat.  So here we go with Smackdown Live, where the one thing I look forward to seeing the most is….Sami Zayn being paired up with Kevin Owens.

No Raw for me tomorrow night, I will be rooting my Indians to beat the New York Yankees, so I will watch it Tuesday for my thoughts.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Sound off.
