In-Ring Promo:  Randy Orton

The 13-time WWE Champion makes his way to the ring for a promo.  At Payback, Orton didn’t lose because of Bray Wyatt, or because of that damn refrigerator, he lost at Payback because of Jinder Mahal.  Where he comes from, you have to win a match to earn a title, and that is what he will do at Backlash.  Jinder Mahal came out with the Singh Brothers, he didn’t steal the title, he just took what he is going to win in 12 days, at Backlash.  And here is a preview, we see photos of Jinder with the WWE Championship.  At Backlash, Jinder will take that title, and he will do it for his people.  The people of India will appreciate and respect him.  We will not disrespect his people anymore.  He will speak for his people, and just as he speaks Punjabi, here comes “The Face of America” Kevin Owens.  He says nobody cares about House of Horrors, nobody cares about India.  Nobody cares about England, they care about the United States Championship, and they care about “The Face of America”.  Last week, he took the United States Title back, and ended the career of Chris Jericho.  Which means no more drinking it in, no more list.  Chris couldn’t even last 2 hours on Smackdown Live, and at Backlash, he will take out AJ Styles.  Then after he takes out AJ, he is going to become the new WWE Champion, because he wants to be the face of WWE.  So he repeats it a few times, and even gives us French, because he can.  And here comes “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.  Here we go again.  Everyone knows how delusional you are Kevin.  Talking about what you’re going to do at Backlash, but this isn’t Backlash, this is Smackdown Live, the house AJ Styles built.  You talk about what you did to Chris Jericho, which is great.  But he will never be AJ Styles, and neither will you.  So keep talking, but you will never beat AJ Styles.  Baron Corbin shows up, but Sami Zayn attacks him from behind, now all 6 men are fighting.

Winner:  Erick Rowan, by pinfall

Tonight:  6-man tag match

Next:  Dolph Ziggler Confronts Shinsuke Nakamura

In-ring Segment:  Ziggler and Nakamura

We are all hypocrites, 8 years he has come out and do what he has done.  Sometimes twice a night, multiple time champion, and he’s even a movie star.  But do we appreciate him?  we treat him like he has a disease.  But who do we cheer for?  He hasn’t even had a match here on Smackdown Live.  His music hits, we sing along just like we are supposed to.  Ziggler suffers for his art in this ring, but he sure doesn’t call himself “The Artist”, and that is pathetic.  He takes pride in what he does, because he has done everything for himself.  He doesn’t need any of us, we never cared.  Nakamura chants, and just like Ziggler said, we don’t care then, but we sure as hell will now.  Nakamura, get out here now.

Nakamura chants throughout the O2 Arena.  Enough of the theatrics, it’s been almost a month for you to chastise in this ring.  If you go toe to toe in this ring with Ziggler, you either put up….

Shut up says Shinsuke, you want to see what he can do, right?  Get ready, Nakamura will show you….now.

Nope!!  We do this when Ziggler says so, and he will expose him for the fraud that he is at Backlash.  Ziggler attacks Shinsuke, but a kick from Nakamura.Ziggler will wait for his moment, in 12 days at Backlash.

Backstage Segment:  Sami Zayn, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton

Sami wants to talk strategy, but the other two are ready, so they walk away.  Funny stuff.

Coming Soon:  The New Day

Match Number 3:  Breezango Vs The Ascension

Breezango picks up the win with a Last Dance, Fandango pinning Viktor.

The Usos come out to tell them in 12 days they will get their ass kicked.  In 12 days, they better get their minds together, but they won’t, because they will face the best tag team.  The Usos are ready, in 12 days.

Winners:  Breezango, by pinfall

Backstage Segment:  Mojo Rawley

Mojo has a tour with the kids, telling them a story on how Mojo went through adversity to create a legend.  He showed them Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy

Video:  Rusev

He hasn’t heard from Shane McMahon over the last 2 weeks, he will be live at Smackdown Live next week, and he wants an answer.

Match Number 4:  Randy Orton (WWE Champ), Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles Vs Jinder Mahal, Baron Corbin, and Kevin Owens (US Champ)

With some help from The Singh Brothers, who distracted Orton, Jinder pinned the champion with a Camel Clutch Slam.  This was Jinder’s biggest victory, since it was over the champion.  In 12 days, these two superstars clash, and the show ends here.

Winners:  Jinder Mahal, Baron Corbin, and Kevin Owens, by pinfall

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This seemed like an average show, but it set up the big matches for Backlash.  Owens Vs Styles, Nakamura Vs Ziggler, and Orton Vs Mahal set the tone for tonight’s show.  We also had an interesting segment with Mojo Rawley, who put the importance over winning Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.  Who challenges him?  You have to think he will be on the card in 12 days.  I loved Ziggler and Nakamura segment, Shinsuke is special.  He has such a presence, and I am expecting these two will steal the show.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Let me know, next week we are back in the states.  What does Rusev have to say next week?
