Winner:  Rusev, by countout

WWE Roadblock:  End of the Line, Live from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Sunday, December 18th, 2016

Commentators:  Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves

Match Number 1:  WWE Raw Tag Team Title Match:  The New Day (Raw Tag Team Champions) Vs Sheamus & Cesaro

Xavier welcomes us to the longest reigning Tag Team Champions of all-time.  But who stands in the way?  Who?  Who?  Who?  Sheamus and Cesaro.  Xavier has shown us he can sing.  Call them whatever you want, but you won’t call them your WWE World Tag Team Champions, because New Day Rocks!!

The match starts now…

Wow, what a great fast match here.  New Day were trying to cheat their way to win, Sheamus and Cesaro are working as a team, sacrificing everyone.  Cesaro fooled New Day with a fake tag, Kofi hits SOS on Cesaro, and Sheamus rolls up Kofi for the pin, and wins the Raw Tag Team Championship.

New Day present the titles to Sheamus and Cesaro, and Cesaro hugs them, while Sheamus gloats the victory.

Winners, and new Raw Tag Team Champions:  Cesaro and Sheamus, by pinfall

Backstage Promo:  Kevin Owens

Charly Caruso wants to ask Owens if he’s worried about losing his Universal Title match, after seeing New Day lose their reign?  Owens is better than New Day.  He is better than Cesaro and Sheamus.  He is better than Roman Reigns, so no.  But Charly has to ask if he’s concerned about his friendship ending with Chris Jericho.  His friendship will last forever, and he sees Chris Jericho.  Owens talks about Reigns shoved him into Jericho last week on Raw.  Kevin got Chris a gift, a holiday scarf.  Does he like it?  Chris throws it back.

WWE Royal Rumble is on January 25th.

Match Number 2:  Sami Zayn Vs Braun Strowman (Sami has to last 10 minutes)

The story here wasn’t to pin someone, it was to survive.  Braun was beating the hell out of Sami.  Mick Foley came out to ringside with a white towel, ready to throw it.  Braun told Mick to throw it, but Sami pleaded him not to.  Then Braun went through a series of mishaps, and even went through a barricade, after Sami moved out-of-the-way.  He entered back into the ring, and was running away from Braun, hit a lateral press, and nailed a Helluva Kick.  Sami wins this, by surviving.

Winner, by survival:  Sami Zayn

Video:  United Kingdom Title Tournament

Match Number 3:  Chris Jericho Vs Seth Rollins

This was a slow match here, but the ending sequence came when Kevin Owens came out to help his “friend” but Seth Rollins was ready for him.  This prevented Jericho from getting the win, he screamed at Owens to stay away.  Rollins nails a Pedigree, and picks up the win.  Sadly no HHH tonight.

Winner:  Seth Rollins, by pinfall

Earlier Tonight:  Rusev wins by countout over Big Cass

Roadblock:  End of the Line rematch:  Rusev Vs Big Cass tomorrow night on Raw.

Match Number 4:  WWE Cruiserweight Title Match:  Rich Swann (WWE Cruiserweight Champion) Vs TJ Perkins Vs THE Brian Kendrick

I just don’t get why the Cruiserweights have their own show, yet the fans watching Raw or PPV can care less about them.  But Rich retains the title with his kick.  And we have an appearance of Neville.  Neville claps for him, and he kicks all three men, showing fire and passion.  Neville wants his shot.

Winner, and still WWE Cruiserweight Champion:  Rich Swann, by pinfall

Backstage Segment:  Kevin Owens

Kevin is trying to talk to Chris Jericho, but Chris locked his locker room door, admitting he made the mistake, pleading with him to talk.  Nobody comes to the door, so maybe they really aren’t best friends anymore.  This truly hurts Owens feelings.  It’s not the same without The Kevin and Chris Show.

Match Number 5, for the Raw Women’s Title:  Sasha Banks (Raw Women’s Champion) Vs Charlotte, in a 30-minute Ironman Match

Charlotte picks up the first pin, with a Natural Selection off the top rope.

Winner:  Charlotte, leads 1-0

Sasha picks up the win with a rollup at 8:00 left.

Winner:  Sasha Banks, tied 1-1

Sasha wins the next fall, making Charlotte tap to the Bank Statement.  Less than 6:00 left.

Winner:  Sasha Banks, leading 2-1

With 2 seconds left, Charlotte made Sasha tap out to a Figure Eight.  Such a beautiful segment here.  We are going into a 5 minute overtime.

Winner:  Charlotte, tied at 2-2

With that bad leg, and in sudden death OT, Charlotte slapped the Figure Eight again.  Sasha fought like crazy to get out of it, but she couldn’t when Charlotte took this in the middle of the ring, and Charlotte is now a 4-time Women’s Champion, ending the PPV Calendar year perfect.

Winner, and new Raw Women’s Champion:  Charlotte, (Winning 3-2)

WWE Royal Rumble on January 29th, 2017

Match Number 6:  WWE Universal Championship Match, Kevin Owens (WWE Universal Champion) Vs Roman Reigns (US Champion)

When a good match is going on, here comes Chris Jericho.  He looks at both men, and then gives Owens a Code Breaker, causing a DQ loss for Reigns.  He looks at the Universal Title, hands it to Owens, and smiles.

Chris and Kevin are best friends after all.

Winner:  Kevin Owens, by DQ, and is still WWE Universal Champion.

But here comes Seth Rollins, coming right after both of them.  Roman meets Kevin with a spear, and Rollins lays Jericho out with a Pedigree.  Roman has evil intentions on his mind.  He sees the Spanish Announce Table, Seth clears it up.  Double Powerbomb is coming.  BOOM!!  But now Kevin Owens is trying to escape, but Rollins catches up to him.  They go right to the Raw Announce Table.  Double Powerbomb!!  BOOM!!

The show ends with both men standing tall.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This was a good episode of Raw, more or less.  But the Ironman match was incredible, even if some are upset Charlotte won.  I am still sad to see that feud end for a bit.  Main event match was good, even with the ending.  If this was a PPV back in the day, I’d be pissed, wasting $60, but this is on the WWE Network, so oh well.  We got our $9.99 out of it.  And the Tag Team Title match was good too, but now that the Tag Titles changed, it must mean something.  This is up to creative.  An incredible run by New Day though.  The highlight of the Cruiserweight Title match was the end, when Neville destroyed everyone.

Share me your thoughts on the show, I will talk to you tomorrow night for Raw.
